SystemRescueCd went from 1.3 to 1.4 branch just at the beginning of March and now returns with a new version and branch, the 1.5.0 with many changes ranging from upgrading packages, new options to avoid errors.
Several new options attached version 1.5.0, using initramfs as well to update multiple paqquetes among which is GParted and the same Linux kernel. Changes in this version are:
* New options through initramfs:
or udevd is used to load the kernel modules that correspond to the hardware.
or rewritten bootscript / init ("rdinit = / initold" to use the above).
o Added firmware for Ethernet devices and disk controllers.
o Ability to start with selinux enabled systems using root = / dev / xxx.
o The kernel modules are compressed to save memory used by initramfs.
Printing error or when done chroot 64-bit systems from 32-bit kernel.
* Option for network boot to "netboot = proto: / /" (http, tftp, nfs, nbd).
* Standard Kernels (rescuecd and rescue64) 2.6.32.10.
* Util-linux 2.17 .. 1.
* Parted 2.2.
* GParted 0.5.2.
* Ntfs3g 2010.3.6.
* GDisk 0.6.5.
