Fedora 14 starts searching for his codename

Fedora 14 is the new version of the bill is just in the planning stages since Fedora 13 is in full swing and soon we will list as stable. Fedora As is common in the beginning of a new branch begins with the choice of a key name that distinguishes it from others, and this day, Fedora 14 begins to receive proposals.
Fedora 12 is called "Constantine" Fedora 13 "Goddard" and Fedora 14 will soon have its own code name starting today the receipt of proposals through the project wiki, extending until 27 April that will be the last days for this purpose.
Proposals may be made by active members of the Fedora community and revised once may vote for one candidate in order to find a winner.
The name must be related to its predecessor, in addition to complying with other standards, so the project will receive the proposals but rejecting some and approving others.
So early we can see that there are names such as Guinness and Scofield with initial approval, but not definitive.
This phase will receive all proposals and makes an initial approval. Then, from 27 to 29 April, posted a more refined list of potential competitors.
From April 29 to May 3 is made legal review and final approval of the competitors. From 4 May to 10 the same month begin once completed ballots to make the announcement of the name of Fedora 14 on May 11, 2010.
For its part has reached the Fedora 13 development known as beta which will be followed by a CR, a phase where version is almost ready to go as stable, in fact, may be considered for use in production equipment and not just as evidence .
Will be until May 11 we will have available to Fedora 13 as stable, the same day to be announced on the Fedora 14 codename.

Jmmm 0.85, Vew Version of local mp3 file manager

This new version has jmmm indirectly focused on improving code quality, which eventually resulted in an improved application performance. For example, we have the following improvements:

* Improved application startup, being able to use the interface immediately when available.
* Light search engine optimization, geared to presentation of results. The search time remains similar to previous versions.
* Improving the structure of the file package, which is causing a more rapid development of future formats.

However, it also brings a little innovation in the face of users: support for relative paths in playlists.
This support is particularly useful for USB devices (or similar), and also when distributing mp3 files in packages (usually zip or rar) to distribute the playlist with the files.

How many partitions you have installed your Linux distribution?

There are several ways to organize the installation and use of the system through one or more partitions, it depends on the needs and tastes of each user. But it also depends heavily on the use that we will provide our distributions (especially if you use several), usually we have one that is commonly used and is where this survey is focused. The question is then:

How many partitions you have installed your Linux distribution?

* In 1 (just the root /)* In 2 (ie, swap and /)* In 3 (eg, swap, / and / home)
* In 4 (eg, swap, /, / boot and / home)* In 5 or more.
